Office Assistant

• The Lead Concierge is the official representative of the organization at the front desk and on the telephone. Reporting to the Life Enrichment Director, he or she will attend to the main telephone, handle all incoming and outgoing calls in a pleasant manner, and greet all visitors or residents who come to the desk. The Lead Concierge will also be responsible for miscellaneous clerical duties related to resident billing, accounts payable & receivable, etc. Some duties are but not limited to monitoring the door security system, maintaining a well-organized and clean work area, Attends all staff meetings as requested, Completes all mandatory company and state required in-service and trainings, Remains up-to-date on all required state and company licensing requirements, Manage Concierge department, Perform functions related to resident billing/accounts receivables, Maintains courteous and tactful manner even under sometimes stressful situations, Maintains resident dignity.

Lead Concierge

Goal of the project: The CCMA AmeriCorps VISTA serving at Towson University will coordinate the P20 Connects program with the Baltimore County Public Schools. This entails assisting teachers in the participation of TU-BCPS Model United Nations college readiness program and developing a university wide approach to supporting college access, readiness, and success, preparing data reports, managing volunteers, and managing daily program operation. The VISTA will monitor social media accounts on a computer monitoring system. Work is performed in a computer lab environment where there is minimal supervision. Work requires minimal physical exertion. By the end of the project the VISTA will have a 17-year program report that will assist in the development and expansion of the TU-BCPS Model UN college readiness program in the greater Baltimore region and will have supported the implementation and promotion of TU’s overall commitment to k-12.
