Designed and implemented remote and in-person staff meetings to solve critical challenges brought on by COVID-19. Identified opportunities for art program growth. Designed surveys to collect information about employee satisfaction. Successfully organized studio cleaning and reorganization. Analyzed purchase data and identified trends and patterns. Optimized staffing levels and hired staff to improve operational efficiency.

Art Program Manager

Conducted in-person and remote learning for students with learning disabilities. Organized materials, graded papers, and evaluated students' progress with the goal of maximizing their inherent abilities. Managed time-sensitive communication with multiple constituencies. Performed regular use of Blackboard, Slack, G-Suite, Jupiter, and other apps and online platforms.

Created lesson plans and assisted Service Learning at a top private high school. Reinforced lessons by reviewing material with students one-to-one or in small groups. Supervised students during non-classroom times i.e. field trips. Kept diligent records; tracked attendance, collected assignments, and completed evaluations. Substitute teaching, proctoring SAT/ACT exams, reading for accommodations, and spectator sports management at events.

Teaching Assistant

Curated content for art exhibitions focused on Bay Area artists, including the well-attended Oakland First Friday Festival circuit. Developed messages for target audiences and brainstormed visual & copy ideas with board members, assistant curators, designers, and featured artists. Detailed submission forms and evaluated submissions with a panel of judges in Submittable. Delivered written content according to deadlines and oversaw the production phase from start to finish.

Here is an image of me speaking at a well-attended First Friday opening with Tea Roots. This exhibition was titled "Eve: Empowerment vs Exploitation" and there were 500+ attendees at opening night. I curated the exhibition from start to finish and coordinated all of the related events and secondary exhibit.

Curator

Prepared educational materials and advised diverse and changing groups of first and second-year writing students. Supported undergraduate writing lectures. Reviewed, graded, and recorded homework and tests while adhering to institutional rules and policies. Offered private tutoring during office hours for ELL students and students with traditional learning differences.

Received the art industry's most prestigious art honor at the high school level for visual art. Gold Key Award for mixed media artwork titled, "Fatal Distortion".

Each spring CCA sponsors the All-College Honors Awards competition. Twenty-three scholarship awards are given to students and merit prizes are awarded based on a juried portfolio review.
