Hello! I recently graduated from the University of Virginia with BA's in Cognitive Science and Art History. I am seeking to build a career in museums after graduation and have been building my professional experience for the past few years as a collections assistant at the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection at UVA, and as a archival assistant at the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library. I am hard working and open-minded, and love learning about the art world.

Inventoried and processed a monumental gift of 1,300 Indigenous Australian prints from Australian master printer Basil Hall. The task required me to become adept in methods for organizing, inventorying, and housing works on paper, including condition assessment and reporting, developing metadata standards to create new object files in the collections management database, and maintaining accurate location records.
  
Acquired art handling and exhibition prep experience while monitoring commercial art handlers to ensure safety and performed condition assessments of multimedia works during the installation traveling show _Madayin: Eight Decades of Aboriginal Australian Bark Painting from Yirrkala_, and _Close to the Wind: Lisa Waup._

Collections Assistant

Processed the Pat Oliphant Collection, including rehousing the daily print archive, arranging, relabeling, and processing personal documents into Microsoft Excel.
Developed skills in the preservation of archival materials while stewarding the collection and added descriptions of Oliphant's daily prints to informational databases.
Learned how to research and maintain accurate location records in collections management databases and wrote instructional aides to navigate the archives.
