  1. Monitor and analyze regulatory changes and developments in the energy industry to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to optimize energy rates for customers, taking into account market trends, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to gather and review data, and provide recommendations for rate adjustments.
  4. Conduct thorough research and analysis to support rate case filings and other regulatory proceedings.
  5. Prepare and present reports on energy rates and regulatory compliance to company leadership and regulatory agencies.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to rates and regulatory matters.
  7. Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness in managing energy rates and regulatory compliance.
  8. Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in energy rate optimization and regulatory compliance.
  9. Provide guidance and support to other team members on rates and regulatory matters.
  10. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including customers, to address any concerns or inquiries related to rates and regulations.
  11. Represent the company in regulatory hearings and meetings, advocating for the company's positions on rate-related matters.
  12. Proactively identify potential risks and opportunities related to rates and regulations and develop strategies to mitigate or capitalize on them.
  13. Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to energy rates and regulatory compliance.
  14. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions related to rates and regulatory matters.
  15. Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency and alignment in rates and regulatory practices across the company.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Economics, Finance, Or Business Administration.

  • Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Processes And Procedures, Specifically In The Energy Industry.

  • Experience In Rate Design, Cost Of Service Analysis, And Cost Allocation Methodologies.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Energy Regulations, Including Ferc, Nerc, And State Public Utility Commissions.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Data And Make Strategic Recommendations Based On Findings.
