In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the safety, health and wellbeing of our staff, customers, and visitors. You will be expected to create and implement policies and procedures to ensure safety standards are met and maintained. To be successful in this role, you must have a recognized health and safety qualification, at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure safety standards are met and maintained.
- Conduct risk assessments and accident investigations to identify potential hazards and develop safety strategies.
- Monitor the health and safety of staff, customers, and visitors to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Provide training and advice on health and safety issues to all members of the team.
- Liaise with external agencies, such as local authorities, to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Evaluate safety performance and suggest improvements.
- Prepare reports and present them to management.
- Monitor the use of safety equipment and ensure it is properly maintained.
- Maintain records of safety incidents and ensure proper follow-up.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are up to date and are being followed.
