Job Description

PPL Corp. is looking for an experienced and highly motivated GIS Specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about GIS and understands the power of data analysis to drive decision-making processes. The GIS Specialist will be an integral part of our GIS team, working with other GIS professionals to develop and implement GIS solutions to support our business needs.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications: a degree in GIS, geography, or a related field; strong understanding of GIS and related software; experience working with GIS data sets; excellent problem-solving and communication skills; and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement GIS solutions to support business needs.
Create, edit, and maintain GIS data sets.
Analyze and interpret GIS data for decision-making processes.
Develop and maintain web mapping applications.
Troubleshoot GIS software issues.
Collaborate with other GIS professionals to create and deploy GIS solutions.
Work independently and in a team environment.
Provide technical assistance and advice to stakeholders.
Monitor trends in GIS technology and make recommendations for improvement.
Remain up to date on industry best practices and standards.
