Job Description

At PPL Corp., we are looking for an experienced Energy Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, problem solver who possesses a keen eye for detail and a passion for staying up-to-date on industry news. The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, or a related field, as well as at least five years of experience in energy market analysis and forecasting. They should also have a strong knowledge of energy market trends and regulations, with the ability to create models and analyze data. The Energy Analyst will be a key member of our team, working closely with other departments to ensure our energy strategies remain competitive and cost-effective. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and forecast energy market trends and regulations
  2. Utilize data analysis and modeling to identify and evaluate potential energy strategies
  3. Conduct research on the latest industry news and stay up-to-date on trends
  4. Develop reports and presentations to support decision-making by other departments
  5. Monitor energy market pricing dynamics and provide relevant updates to the team
  6. Coordinate with other departments to ensure energy strategies remain competitive and cost-effective
  7. Analyze and interpret energy market data to identify opportunities and potential risks
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with energy market stakeholders and vendors
  9. Monitor and evaluate current energy strategies for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
