Job Description

PPD-Pharmaceutical Product Development is seeking a Vendor Management Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the success of our clinical trials. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective vendor management.   1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to identify and select vendors that align with project needs and goals.
  3. Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to contract terms, quality standards, and timelines.
  4. Create and maintain detailed documentation of vendor contracts, agreements, and performance metrics.
  5. Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  6. Evaluate and address any issues or concerns with vendor performance, escalating to management as needed.
  7. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in vendor management.
  8. Act as a liaison between vendors and internal teams, effectively managing expectations and ensuring alignment of goals and objectives.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to vendor management, and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
  10. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
  11. Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures related to vendor management.
  12. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all vendor interactions.
  13. Train and mentor junior team members on vendor management processes and procedures.
  14. Provide regular updates to management on vendor performance and any potential risks or issues.
  15. Continuously seek ways to streamline and improve vendor management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Vendor Management Or Procurement In The Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Fda Regulations And Guidelines Related To Vendor Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills To Effectively Manage Relationships With Vendors And Internal Stakeholders.

  • Experience With Vendor Selection, Contract Management, And Performance Evaluation Processes.
