- Oversee all aspects of the supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, inventory management, and logistics.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize supply chain processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials and services to support clients' drug development programs.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Manage and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Work closely with other departments, such as clinical operations and finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for supply chain operations.
- Stay current on industry trends and developments in supply chain management, and make recommendations for incorporating new technologies and processes.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Prepare and manage the supply chain budget.
- Communicate supply chain updates and issues to senior management and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for the supply chain team and identify opportunities for training and development.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering on-time and high-quality supply chain services.
Extensive Supply Chain Management Experience: A Senior Director At Ppd-Pharmaceutical Product Development Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Supply Chain Management, Ideally In The Pharmaceutical Or Healthcare Industry. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Complex Supply Chain Operations And Delivering Results.
Strategic Leadership Skills: As A High-Level Director, The Candidate Should Possess Strong Strategic Thinking And Leadership Skills. This Includes The Ability To Develop And Implement Supply Chain Strategies That Align With The Overall Business Goals Of The Company.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Senior Director Should Have A Strong Analytical Mindset And Be Able To Use Data To Make Informed Decisions. They Should Also Have The Ability To Identify And Solve Complex Supply Chain Issues In A Timely And Effective Manner.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Leader, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders. This Includes The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With External Suppliers And Vendors.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: Ppd Is A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Senior Director Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Compliance Related To Supply Chain Operations. This Includes Experience In Managing Audits And Ensuring Compliance With Fda And Other Regulatory Agencies.
