Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Bioinformatics Or A Related Field: Ppd-Pharmaceutical Product Development Would Likely Require A Candidate For Their Scientist, Bioinformatics Position To Have A Graduate Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Or Genetics. This Advanced Education Would Provide The Necessary Knowledge And Skills For The Complex Work Involved In Bioinformatics.

  • Proficiency In Bioinformatics Software And Tools: A Scientist, Bioinformatics At Ppd Would Need To Be Well-Versed In Various Bioinformatics Software And Tools, Such As Blast, Clc Genomics Workbench, And R. These Tools Are Essential For Analyzing And Interpreting Large Datasets And Generating Meaningful Insights For Drug Development.

  • Experience With Next-Generation Sequencing (Ngs) Data Analysis: With The Increasing Use Of Ngs In Drug Development, Ppd Would Likely Seek A Candidate With Experience In This Area. A Scientist, Bioinformatics At Ppd Would Need To Be Able To Handle And Analyze Large Ngs Datasets And Have A Strong Understanding Of Ngs Technologies And Their Applications.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Industry: Ppd Is A Leading Global Contract Research Organization In The Pharmaceutical Industry, And Their Scientist, Bioinformatics Position Would Require A Candidate With A Strong Understanding Of The Industry. This Could Include Knowledge Of Drug Discovery And Development Processes, Regulatory Guidelines, And Industry Trends.
