We are currently seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team, specifically focused on capital equipment and construction. As a Procurement Specialist at PPD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects by sourcing and managing the acquisition of essential equipment and materials for our state-of-the-art facilities. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a strong background in procurement, construction, and project management.   1. Source and procure essential capital equipment and construction materials for PPD's global facilities.
  2. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand equipment and construction needs for upcoming projects.
  3. Create and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
  4. Conduct market research to identify potential new vendors and evaluate their capabilities.
  5. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of equipment and materials.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future equipment and material needs.
  7. Review and approve purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  8. Manage the delivery and installation of equipment and materials, ensuring they meet project timelines and specifications.
  9. Communicate updates and progress reports to project teams and management.
  10. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to procurement and construction.
  11. Maintain accurate and organized procurement records and documentation.
  12. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to track and report on procurement costs and budget.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement, construction, and project management.
  14. Train and mentor junior procurement team members.
  15. Uphold PPD's commitment to ethical and responsible procurement practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Procurement, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Healthcare Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Capital Equipment And Construction Procurement Processes, Including Sourcing, Negotiating, And Contract Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Internal Stakeholders And External Vendors.

  • Proven Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Priorities, With A Focus On Cost Savings, Quality, And Timely Delivery.
