  1. Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the pharmaceutical industry.
  2. Provide scientific expertise and support for PPD's products and services to KOLs, healthcare professionals, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Act as a liaison between PPD and healthcare professionals, facilitating communication and collaboration.
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in medical science and apply that knowledge to support PPD's products and services.
  5. Develop and deliver presentations and educational materials to healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams within PPD to identify and address scientific and medical needs of clients.
  7. Attend conferences and other industry events to represent PPD and build relationships with potential clients.
  8. Provide timely and accurate responses to medical inquiries from healthcare professionals.
  9. Gather and report insights and feedback from KOLs and other stakeholders to inform PPD's product development and marketing strategies.
  10. Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines, including compliance with PPD's code of conduct and standard operating procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Scientific Field: The Medical Scientific Liaison Role At Ppd Requires A Strong Understanding Of Scientific Concepts And The Ability To Communicate Complex Information To Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Pharmacy, Biology, Or Chemistry Is Typically Required.

  • Previous Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry: Ppd Is A Leading Global Contract Research Organization (Cro) That Provides Comprehensive Services To Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, And Medical Device Companies. Therefore, Previous Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, Either In A Similar Role Or In A Related Field, Is Highly Preferred.

  • Strong Communication And Presentation Skills: As A Medical Scientific Liaison, You Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Opinion Leaders (Kols) In The Medical Community. This Requires Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Convey Scientific Information And Data.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Therapeutic Areas: Ppd Works Across A Wide Range Of Therapeutic Areas, Including Oncology, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, And More. A Strong Understanding Of The Relevant Disease States And Treatment Options Within These Areas Is Essential For The Medical Scientific Liaison Role.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Travel Frequently: This Role Involves A Significant Amount Of Travel To Attend Medical Conferences, Kol Meetings, And Other Events. Additionally, Medical Scientific Liaisons Often Work Remotely And Need To Be Self-Motivated And Able To Manage Their Time Effectively To Meet The Demands Of The Job.
