
EHS Specialist

You should also have at least 2-3 years of experience in EHS, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. - Develop and implement effective EHS programs and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide EHS training to employees at all levels to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and FDA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices for EHS management.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct incident investigations and develop corrective and preventive action plans to prevent future incidents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS records and documentation.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments in EHS regulations to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to employees and management on EHS matters.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding EHS initiatives and performance.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions for EHS compliance and sustainability.
- Collaborate with EHS team members to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive EHS information.
- Continuously evaluate and improve EHS processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Health And Safety, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Ehs Policies And Procedures.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Environmental Health And Safety.
Certification In Occupational Health And Safety (Oh&S) Or Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Is Preferred.
