- Develop and implement company-wide compliance policies and procedures in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Lead and manage the compliance team, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the team's success.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify any potential risks and ensure proper adherence to all regulations.
- Oversee the company's compliance training program, ensuring that all employees are educated and informed on compliance matters.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all compliance-related inquiries and concerns, both internally and externally.
- Stay up-to-date on all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards and communicate any changes or updates to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance is integrated into all business processes and operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations to stay informed of best practices and industry trends.
- Investigate and report any potential compliance breaches or violations, and develop and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Champion a culture of compliance within the organization, promoting ethical behavior and decision-making at all levels.
- Communicate regularly with senior management and provide updates on compliance matters, including any potential risks or issues.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the compliance program and make recommendations for improvement.
- Act as a subject matter expert on compliance matters and provide guidance and support to all levels of the organization.
- Represent the company in compliance-related meetings, conferences, and events.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure all compliance activities are in line with legal requirements.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Fda Regulations And Guidelines: The Ideal Candidate For A Director, Compliance Position At Ppd Must Possess A Thorough Understanding Of The Food And Drug Administration (Fda) Regulations And Guidelines Related To Drug Development, Clinical Trials, And Post-Marketing Activities.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Director, Compliance, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Compliance Professionals And Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are Essential For This Role, Including The Ability To Motivate And Guide Team Members, Promote A Culture Of Compliance, And Lead By Example.
Extensive Experience In Compliance: Ppd Is A Leading Global Contract Research Organization (Cro) That Provides A Range Of Services To Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, And Medical Device Companies. Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Must Have Significant Experience In Compliance, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Proven Track Record Of Ensuring Adherence To Regulations And Guidelines.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Director, Compliance Will Be Required To Communicate Complex Compliance Requirements To Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, Clients, And Regulatory Authorities.
