Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and creative Visual Merchandiser to join our team and help us bring our brand to life in our stores. As a Visual Merchandiser, you will have the opportunity to use your eye for design and passion for home decor to create visually stunning displays that will draw in and engage our customers. If you have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a knack for creating inviting and on-trend product displays, we would love for you to join our team.

  1. Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies that align with the overall brand image and marketing goals of Pottery Barn.
  2. Create visually appealing and engaging displays that showcase our products and draw in customers.
  3. Collaborate with the store management team to understand sales goals and determine the best visual merchandising techniques to support them.
  4. Use creativity and innovation to constantly refresh and update displays to keep them relevant and on-trend.
  5. Maintain visual standards and ensure that all displays are neat, organized, and well-maintained.
  6. Work closely with the buying and design teams to understand product features and effectively highlight them in displays.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to continually improve our visual merchandising techniques.
  8. Train and mentor other team members on visual merchandising techniques and standards.
  9. Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment to ensure that displays are always fully stocked.
  10. Assist with store events and promotions, creating eye-catching displays to support them.
  11. Ensure that all visual merchandising guidelines and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  12. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Knowledge Of Interior Design: A Visual Merchandiser At Pottery Barn Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Interior Design Principles And Trends To Effectively Create Appealing Store Displays.

  • Creativity And Attention To Detail: The Ability To Think Creatively And Pay Attention To Detail Is Essential For A Visual Merchandiser At Pottery Barn. They Must Be Able To Create Eye-Catching And Well-Curated Displays That Accurately Represent The Brand's Aesthetic.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Visual Merchandisers Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With The Store Team And Convey The Brand's Messaging Through Their Displays.

  • Experience With Visual Merchandising: Previous Experience In Visual Merchandising, Preferably In The Retail Industry, Is A Must For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Creating And Implementing Visual Displays.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Pottery Barn Is A Popular And Busy Retailer, And A Visual Merchandiser Must Be Able To Thrive In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Includes The Ability To Multitask, Meet Deadlines, And Adapt To Changing Priorities.
