  1. Develop and implement innovative and visually compelling design concepts for Pottery Barn products, stores, and marketing materials.
  2. Lead and manage a team of visual designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure high-quality work.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate brand strategies and objectives into effective design solutions.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques, and continuously bring fresh and creative ideas to the table.
  5. Create and maintain brand guidelines and standards to ensure consistency across all visual assets.
  6. Oversee the production process of design projects, from concept to final delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
  7. Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective visual communications that align with the brand's messaging and target audience.
  8. Conduct regular reviews and critiques of team members' work to provide constructive feedback and ensure designs meet brand standards.
  9. Collaborate with external vendors and agencies to ensure the highest quality of design deliverables.
  10. Participate in the hiring and onboarding process for new visual design team members.
  11. Act as a brand ambassador, representing Pottery Barn and its design aesthetic at industry events and conferences.
  12. Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork within the design team and across departments.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve the visual design processes and workflows to increase efficiency and quality of work.
  15. Uphold the brand's values and ethos in all design work, maintaining a consistent and authentic brand image.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Design Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Visual Design, With A Strong Portfolio Showcasing Their Expertise In Creating Visually Appealing And Effective Designs.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Lead Visual Designer, This Role Requires The Ability To Lead And Mentor A Team Of Designers. The Candidate Should Have Proven Experience In Managing And Delegating Tasks, Providing Constructive Feedback, And Driving A Collaborative And Creative Work Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Design Software: The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Industry-Standard Design Software Such As Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, And Invision. Additionally, Experience With 3D Design Software And Animation Tools Would Be Considered A Plus.

  • Strong Eye For Design: A Keen Eye For Detail And A Strong Understanding Of Design Principles Is A Must For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Color, Composition, Typography, And Layout To Create Visually Cohesive And Impactful Designs.

  • Retail Experience: As A Lead Visual Designer At Pottery Barn, It Is Essential To Have Experience In The Retail Industry. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Brand And Its Target Audience, As Well As Experience In Creating Designs That Align With The Company's Aesthetic And Brand Guidelines.
