Job Description

Pottery Barn is looking for a strategic and results-driven leader with a passion for Real Estate who will join our team as Director, Real Estate. This role is responsible for the growth and success of our portfolio of stores and will develop and execute a comprehensive real estate strategy to meet our long term objectives. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver and strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in real estate, portfolio management, commercial leasing, and development. You will have an in-depth understanding of the retail real estate landscape, be proficient in deal negotiation and have the ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. In addition, you will be highly organized and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and execute a comprehensive real estate strategy to meet the long-term objectives of Pottery Barn.
  2. Identify and evaluate potential real estate opportunities, and recommend and negotiate leases, renewals, and dispositions.
  3. Negotiate and manage financial arrangements and contractual agreements for real estate projects.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and successful real estate transactions.
  5. Analyze market trends and competitive activities to maximize the company’s real estate portfolio.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to maximize real estate portfolio performance.
  7. Monitor real estate portfolio performance and make recommendations to improve results.
  8. Prepare and analyze reports and presentations related to real estate portfolio projects.
  9. Keep abreast of current real estate trends and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  10. Provide leadership and direction to a team of real estate professionals.
