Job Description

As a Design Studio Specialist, you will have the opportunity to help our customers create their dream homes by providing expert design guidance and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about home decor and has a keen eye for design. If you have experience in interior design and a strong understanding of our brand aesthetic, we would love for you to join our team.

  1. Provide excellent customer service to all Pottery Barn customers, both in-store and over the phone.
  2. Act as a brand ambassador, embodying the Pottery Barn aesthetic and values in all interactions with customers.
  3. Utilize your expertise in interior design to assist customers in creating their dream homes through product recommendations, space planning, and design consultations.
  4. Maintain a deep understanding of the Pottery Barn product line and be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate the features and benefits to customers.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current design trends and be able to incorporate them into customer recommendations.
  6. Act as a liaison between customers and the design team, ensuring all customer design requests are accurately communicated and fulfilled.
  7. Assist with visual merchandising and maintaining a clean and organized Design Studio environment to inspire and attract customers.
  8. Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals by identifying and fulfilling customer design needs.
  9. Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction by seeking and implementing feedback and suggestions.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, while representing the Pottery Barn brand.

Job Qualifications
  • Degree In Interior Design Or Related Field: A Design Studio Specialist At Pottery Barn Should Have A Degree In Interior Design Or A Related Field To Have A Strong Understanding Of Design Principles And Techniques.

  • Previous Design Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Design-Related Role, Preferably In A Retail Environment. This Shows An Understanding Of Customer Needs And The Ability To Create Appealing And Functional Designs.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Design Studio Specialist, One Must Have Exceptional Verbal And Written Communication Skills. This Is Important For Effectively Communicating With Clients, Colleagues, And Vendors.

  • Proficiency In Design Software: Candidates Should Have A Strong Working Knowledge Of Design Software Such As Autocad, Sketchup, And Adobe Creative Suite. This Will Enable Them To Create Professional And Accurate Design Plans And Presentations.

  • Knowledge Of Pottery Barn Products: A Design Studio Specialist Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pottery Barn's Product Offerings, Including Furniture, Textiles, And Home Decor. This Will Allow Them To Make Informed Recommendations To Clients And Create Cohesive Designs Using Pottery Barn Products.
