Hello future Associate Inventory Planner at Pottery Barn! We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our inventory planning team. As an Associate Inventory Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our stores are stocked with the right products in the right quantities. Your keen eye for data and strong organizational skills will be key in maintaining inventory levels, predicting sales trends, and making strategic purchasing decisions.   1. Monitor and maintain inventory levels for Pottery Barn stores to ensure adequate stock is available at all times.
  2. Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast future inventory needs and make strategic purchasing decisions.
  3. Work closely with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and delivery terms to optimize inventory costs.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as merchandising and logistics, to align inventory planning with overall business goals.
  5. Utilize inventory management software to track and reconcile inventory levels, sales, and product performance.
  6. Conduct regular store visits to assess inventory needs and identify any potential issues or opportunities.
  7. Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights on inventory performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  8. Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize stock shortages and overstock situations.
  9. Continuously monitor inventory turnover rates and take proactive measures to improve efficiency and reduce excess inventory.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market changes to adapt inventory planning strategies accordingly.
  11. Train and mentor junior team members on inventory planning processes and procedures.
  12. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  13. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management and purchasing.
  14. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to coordinate inventory planning and resolve any issues that may arise.
  15. Participate in inventory planning meetings and provide valuable input to drive business growth and success.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • 2-3 Years Of Experience In Inventory Planning, Purchasing, Or Supply Chain Management.

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems And Processes.
