Job Description

Pottery Barn is looking for a creative and passionate Associate Designer, Textiles to join our growing team! This exciting role requires a unique individual with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of the textile industry. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design and a minimum of two years’ experience in textile design, ideally within the home furnishings industry. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, be a great problem solver, and have strong organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop new textile designs that align with Pottery Barn's aesthetic.
  2. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring new products to life.
  3. Stay up to date on textile trends and industry standards.
  4. Evaluate and select appropriate fabrics, colors, and textures for product designs.
  5. Create design sketches, sample swatches, and boards to present to team members.
  6. Maintain organized records of all designs and design processes.
  7. Monitor production of textile designs to ensure quality standards are met.
  8. Communicate effectively with clients and other team members to ensure successful product launches.
  9. Assist with creating presentations, mood boards, and marketing materials.
