
Assistant Buyer, Occasional Furniture
The Pottery Barn is seeking an Assistant Buyer with a passion for furniture to join our Occasional Furniture team. As an Assistant Buyer, you will be an integral part of the team, helping to shape the look and feel of our Occasional Furniture. We are looking for a creative individual with a strong eye for detail who is capable of working in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as retail merchandising, interior design, or fashion, along with at least two years of experience in the furniture industry. You must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. You should be organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Finally, a passion for furniture and home décor is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the Occasional Furniture product line, helping to shape its look and feel.
- Utilize strong eye for detail to ensure product quality.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and new product development.
- Create and manage budgets and product pricing.
- Negotiate product orders and discounts with vendors.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to identify new products and trends.
- Work with marketing team to develop promotional campaigns.
- Create and maintain product catalogs and product listing pages.
- Develop and execute product launches.
- Monitor inventory levels and lead restocking efforts.
- Provide customers with product information and pricing.
