- Assist buyers in curating a unique and diverse product assortment that aligns with the brand's aesthetic and meets the needs of customers.
- Conduct market research to identify current and emerging trends in the home decor industry.
- Manage relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and pricing to ensure the best products are available for our customers.
- Work closely with the buying team to develop and execute product strategies.
- Assist in the creation of purchase orders and track inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Analyze sales data to make informed decisions about product assortment and pricing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, and visual merchandising to ensure cohesive execution of product assortment.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to stay updated on the latest trends and source new products.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product information in databases and systems.
- Communicate effectively with team members and vendors to ensure a smooth buying process.
- Assist in managing budget and forecasting for the Marketplace department.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Contribute to the overall growth and success of the Marketplace department and the company as a whole.
