- Develop and implement lesson plans and course materials for the surgical technology program.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
- Deliver lectures and facilitate discussions on various topics related to surgical technology.
- Provide hands-on training and instruction in the surgical technology lab.
- Assess student learning through exams, projects, and assignments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to promote their academic growth.
- Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in surgical technology to enhance curriculum and instruction.
- Mentor and guide students to ensure their success in the program and future careers.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
- Participate in program accreditation processes and maintain compliance with educational standards.

- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administration regarding program updates and student progress.
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills.
- Assist with recruitment and retention efforts for the surgical technology program.
- Adhere to institute policies and procedures to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Relevant Education And Experience: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Surgical Technology Or A Related Field Is Required, Along With At Least 3 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technologist.
Active Certification: The Instructor Must Hold A Current Certification As A Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Through The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Teaching Experience: Prior Experience In Teaching Or Training In A Surgical Technology Program Is Preferred, As Well As Experience Developing Curriculum And Lesson Plans.
Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Students, Colleagues, And Healthcare Professionals Is Essential In This Role. This Includes Both Written And Verbal Communication Skills.
Passion For Education: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Passion For Teaching And Helping Students Succeed In Their Education And Career Goals. They Should Also Be Committed To Staying Up-To-Date With New Technologies, Techniques, And Best Practices In The Field Of Surgical Technology.
