- Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive lesson plans for Medical Laboratory Technician courses, incorporating industry standards and best practices.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students, fostering their academic and personal growth.
- Prepare and administer quizzes, tests, and other assessments to evaluate student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting professionalism and ethical behavior in the healthcare field.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology, and incorporate relevant information into curriculum and teaching methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in faculty meetings to continuously improve curriculum and teaching methods.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, group discussions, and hands-on laboratory demonstrations, to engage and challenge students.
- Provide guidance and support to students outside of the classroom, including advising on academic and career goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress, and submit required reports in a timely manner.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with industry trends and standards.
- Embrace diversity and foster an inclusive learning environment that respects and values the backgrounds and perspectives of all students.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment and following all safety protocols.
- Actively contribute to the success of the Medical Laboratory Technician program by participating in recruitment and retention efforts.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with students, colleagues, and program leadership to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.

Bachelor's Degree Or Higher In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Laboratory Technician.
Current Medical Laboratory Technician Certification (Ascp Or Equivalent).
Prior Teaching Experience In A Post-Secondary Education Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Mentor Students.
