- Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive lesson plans and curriculum for dental assisting students.
- Provide hands-on training and instruction in dental procedures, techniques, and equipment operation.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in dental assisting to incorporate into lessons.
- Mentor and support students by providing guidance and feedback on their progress and performance.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate with other instructors and faculty to ensure consistency and alignment in teaching methods and materials.
- Evaluate student competency and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Serve as a role model for students by demonstrating professionalism, ethics, and passion for the field of dental assisting.
- Uphold the values and mission of Pima Medical Institute by promoting diversity, teamwork, and continuous learning.
- Adhere to institute policies and procedures and maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration to address any concerns or issues.
- Participate in recruitment and marketing efforts to attract potential students and promote the dental assisting program.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the dental assisting program by providing feedback and suggestions for curriculum updates and enhancements.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Certified Dental Assistant.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Dental Procedures And Techniques.
Previous Teaching Experience In A Dental Assistant Program Preferred.
Proficient In Using Technology And Software Relevant To Dental Assisting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Teach And Mentor Students.
