  1. Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive lesson plans and curriculum for dental assisting students.
  2. Provide hands-on training and instruction in dental procedures, techniques, and equipment operation.
  3. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in dental assisting to incorporate into lessons.
  4. Mentor and support students by providing guidance and feedback on their progress and performance.
  5. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  6. Collaborate with other instructors and faculty to ensure consistency and alignment in teaching methods and materials.
  7. Evaluate student competency and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  8. Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  9. Serve as a role model for students by demonstrating professionalism, ethics, and passion for the field of dental assisting.
  10. Uphold the values and mission of Pima Medical Institute by promoting diversity, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  11. Adhere to institute policies and procedures and maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  12. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration to address any concerns or issues.
  13. Participate in recruitment and marketing efforts to attract potential students and promote the dental assisting program.
  14. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the dental assisting program by providing feedback and suggestions for curriculum updates and enhancements.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Certified Dental Assistant.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Dental Procedures And Techniques.

  • Previous Teaching Experience In A Dental Assistant Program Preferred.

  • Proficient In Using Technology And Software Relevant To Dental Assisting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Teach And Mentor Students.
