- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with complex wounds to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide comprehensive wound care, including wound cleaning, debridement, and dressing changes, according to established protocols and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and the importance of following treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all aspects of wound care and treatment.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and developments in wound care to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions for patients.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and excellent communication skills while providing care to patients and their families.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Wound Care Clinician At Piedmont Healthcare Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Strong Foundation In Healthcare And A Deep Understanding Of Wound Care.
Wound Care Certification: A Valid Certification In Wound Care, Such As The Wound Care Certified (Wcc) Or Certified Wound Specialist (Cws), Is A Crucial Qualification For This Role. It Demonstrates The Clinician's Expertise And Knowledge In Wound Management And Treatment.
Previous Experience In Wound Care: Piedmont Healthcare Requires Candidates For This Role To Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Wound Care. This Ensures That The Clinician Has A Strong Clinical Background And Is Familiar With The Various Wound Types And Treatments.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Wound Care Practices And Be Able To Apply Them In Their Clinical Practice. This Includes Staying Updated On The Latest Advancements And Techniques In Wound Care.
