- Provide specialized wound care treatment to patients in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex wound care needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including evaluation of wound type, size, location, and surrounding skin condition.
- Utilize advanced wound care techniques and evidence-based practices to promote healing and prevent infection.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care management and prevention strategies.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, including wound healing and response to treatment.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on new wound care treatments and technologies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all wound care interventions and patient progress in electronic medical records.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other healthcare team members, providing guidance and support in wound care management.
- Act in accordance with ethical and legal standards, and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing, Wound Care, Or A Related Field.
Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Georgia.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Wound Care, Preferably In An Acute Care Or Outpatient Setting.
Certification In Wound Care, Such As The Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Nursing (Wocn) Certification.
Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Wound Care Practices And Procedures.
