As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients, using state-of-the-art technology and your expertise to produce high-quality images.   1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients, ensuring proper positioning and technique to produce accurate and high-quality images.
  2. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and pathology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  3. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
  4. Maintain patient privacy and comfort throughout all procedures, providing clear instructions and answering any questions or concerns.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review and analyze ultrasound images and provide accurate and timely reports.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  7. Keep accurate records of procedures and patient information, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  8. Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques, implementing new methods as appropriate.
  9. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, identifying and reporting any issues or concerns.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified In Diagnostic Medical Sonography: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Current Certification In Diagnostic Medical Sonography From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Ultrasounds Accurately And Safely.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: A Prn Ultrasound Technologist At Piedmont Healthcare Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting. This Ensures They Have A Strong Foundation And Understanding Of Ultrasound Procedures And Equipment.

  • Proficient In Multiple Ultrasound Modalities: The Candidate Should Have Experience And Proficiency In Performing A Variety Of Ultrasound Exams, Including Abdominal, Obstetrical, Vascular, And Musculoskeletal. This Ensures They Can Handle A Diverse Range Of Patients And Procedures.

  • Familiarity With Pacs And Emr Systems: Piedmont Healthcare Uses Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Picture Archiving And Communication Systems (Pacs) To Store And Manage Patient Data. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With These Systems To Ensure Efficient And Accurate Record-Keeping.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Prn Ultrasound Technologist, The Candidate Will Work With A Variety Of Patients And Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial To Ensure Effective Collaboration And Patient Care.
