- Perform ultrasound procedures on patients according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, providing appropriate care and support as needed.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of images.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive and accurate diagnoses.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Document and maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
- Continuously stay current with advancements and changes in technology and procedures in the field of ultrasound.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, answering any questions and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments, ensuring efficient and timely patient care.
- Uphold the mission and values of Piedmont Healthcare in all interactions and actions.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography From An Accredited Program.
Active Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Rdms) From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Ultrasound Technician In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge And Proficiency In A Variety Of Ultrasound Techniques, Including Abdominal, Vascular, Obstetric, And Gynecological.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Clear And Accurate Information To Patients And Collaborate Effectively With Healthcare Team Members.
