  1. Communicate and negotiate with third-party payers to ensure timely and accurate collection of accounts receivable.
  2. Utilize strong analytical skills to review and appeal denied or underpaid claims.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communication and transactions with third-party payers.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve billing issues or discrepancies.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party payers, addressing any concerns or questions regarding accounts receivable.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and changes in third-party payer policies to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursement.
  7. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in accounts receivable management.
  8. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in third-party billing and collections.
  9. Meet and exceed individual and team targets for accounts receivable collections.
  10. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions, representing the organization in a positive light.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Billing And Reimbursement Processes: A Third Party A/R Representative Should Have A Thorough Knowledge Of Healthcare Billing Regulations, Insurance Policies, And Reimbursement Procedures To Effectively Handle Claims And Denials.

  • Proficiency In Medical Coding And Terminology: Knowledge Of Medical Coding Systems Such As Icd-10 And Cpt Codes, As Well As Medical Terminology, Is Essential For Accurately Reviewing And Resolving Claims.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Liaison Between The Healthcare Facility And Insurance Companies, A Third Party A/R Representative Must Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Negotiate And Resolve Claim Issues.

  • Experience In Accounts Receivable Management: Previous Experience In Accounts Receivable Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting, Is A Key Qualification For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Accounts Receivable Processes, Collection Techniques, And Reporting.

  • Detail-Oriented And Analytical Mindset: The Ability To Analyze Complex Data, Identify Trends, And Make Informed Decisions Is Crucial For A Third Party A/R Representative. Attention To Detail Is Also Essential In Reviewing And Resolving Claims Accurately And Efficiently.
