Job Description

Are you a skilled and passionate Surgical Tech looking for a dynamic and fast-paced work environment? Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a PRN Surgical Tech to join our Outpatient Surgery team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in our state-of-the-art outpatient facility.   1. Perform surgical technologist duties: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, setting up and maintaining sterile fields, and handling surgical instruments and equipment.
  2. Ensure patient safety: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients during surgical procedures, including monitoring vital signs and responding to any emergencies.
  3. Maintain a sterile environment: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room, following proper infection control protocols, and assisting with the preparation and cleaning of surgical equipment.
  4. Collaborate with the surgical team: The Surgical Tech will work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
  5. Provide compassionate care: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients, comforting them and addressing their needs during their surgical experience.
  6. Adhere to safety protocols: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for following all safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, to ensure a safe work environment.
  7. Maintain equipment and supplies: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for maintaining and organizing surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring they are properly sterilized and readily available for use.
  8. Document patient information: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for accurately documenting patient information, including medical history and surgical details, in electronic health records.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry developments: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for staying informed about advancements in surgical technology and techniques, and implementing these practices in their work.
  10. Support continuous improvement: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for participating in quality improvement initiatives and providing feedback to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the surgical team.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Or Equivalent Certification From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Tech, Preferably In An Outpatient Surgery Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Instruments, Equipment, And Procedures Specific To Outpatient Surgery.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment, Multitask, And Prioritize Tasks Effectively.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
