- Provide exceptional patient care: Deliver compassionate and high-quality care to laboring mothers and their newborns in the Labor and Delivery Operating Room.
- Support laboring mothers: Assist in the delivery of babies, monitor vital signs, and provide comfort and support to mothers during and after surgery.
- Perform surgical procedures: Utilize your strong background in surgical procedures to assist surgeons during labor and delivery surgeries.
- Maintain a sterile environment: Ensure that all equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and the operating room is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Collaborate with team members: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience for patients.

Completion Of A Formal Training Program: A Surgery Technician - Labor And Delivery Or Job At Piedmont Healthcare Typically Requires Completion Of A Formal Training Program, Such As An Accredited Surgical Technology Program Or A Nursing Program With A Surgical Technology Concentration.
Certification: Many Employers, Including Piedmont Healthcare, Require Certification From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa) For Surgery Technicians Working In Labor And Delivery Operating Rooms. This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Competency And Knowledge In The Field.
Experience In Labor And Delivery: This Role Specifically Focuses On Assisting With Surgical Procedures In The Labor And Delivery Setting. Therefore, Experience In This Area Is Highly Desirable And May Be Required By Piedmont Healthcare.
Attention To Detail: Surgery Technicians Working In Labor And Delivery Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail In Order To Anticipate The Needs Of The Surgical Team And Ensure The Safety Of The Mother And Baby.
Physical Stamina And Dexterity: This Job Requires Standing For Long Periods Of Time, As Well As The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Equipment And Patients. Manual Dexterity Is Also Essential For Handling Delicate Instruments And Assisting With Sterile Procedures.
