  1. Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
  2. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning.
  3. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and proactively provide assistance as needed.
  4. Prepare patients for surgery by positioning and draping them correctly.
  5. Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration as directed by the anesthesiologist.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  8. Document all procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
  9. Continuously update knowledge and skills in surgical techniques and equipment.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the surgical team.
  11. Act as a resource for other staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  12. Follow all hospital policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  13. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings.
  14. Provide exceptional patient care and promote a positive and welcoming environment.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the surgical team or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cardiovascular Operating Room (Cvor) Procedures

  • Knowledge Of Sterile Technique, Instrumentation, And Equipment Used In Cvor Procedures

  • Ability To Anticipate The Needs Of The Surgeon And Assist With Procedures Efficiently

  • Familiarity With Electronic Health Record Systems And Ability To Document Accurately In A Timely Manner
