Job Description

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Staff Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pre-Op department.   1. Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Pre-Op department.
  2. Adhere to all nursing standards, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  4. Monitor and assess patient's physical and emotional well-being before surgery.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process and post-operative care.
  7. Prepare patients for surgery by assisting with pre-operative procedures and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  8. Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  10. Advocate for patient needs and serve as a patient advocate.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  12. Attend and participate in team meetings, in-services, and training sessions to maintain and enhance nursing skills.
  13. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  14. Demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, and cultural competence in patient interactions.
  15. Support the organization's mission and values and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Georgia.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Pre-Operative Setting.

  • Bls And Acls Certification From The American Heart Association.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced Environment.
