You will be responsible for prepping and circulating in the operating room, as well as providing quality patient care during surgical procedures.To be successful in this role, you must have a current RN license and at least 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing.   1. Prep and circulate in the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are in place for surgical procedures.
  2. Monitor and assess patient conditions before, during, and after surgery, and communicate any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the surgeon or anesthesiologist.
  4. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during surgical procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including pre-op and post-op assessments, medications, and treatments.
  6. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  7. Follow all infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infection and ensure patient safety.
  8. Assist with the positioning and preparation of patients for surgery.
  9. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve nursing skills and knowledge.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  12. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Georgia.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Perioperative Nursing, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Instruments, And Equipment, As Well As Aseptic Technique And Infection Control Standards.
