
Staff Pharmacist - PRN

- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
- Perform medication order reviews and drug utilization evaluations to ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-specific medication therapy plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Monitor patient medication adherence and provide counseling or interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication profiles and documentation in electronic health records.
- Participate in pharmacy quality assurance programs and medication safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
- Keep up-to-date with new medications, therapies, and treatment guidelines to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes and provide exceptional patient-centered care.
- Act as a resource for pharmacy technicians and other support staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and disposal of medications.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, continuing education programs, and other professional development activities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission and values, and consistently uphold ethical standards and professional behavior.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Director of Pharmacy or other leadership team members.
Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy: A Staff Pharmacist - Prn At Piedmont Healthcare Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Pharmaceutical Sciences And Is Equipped With The Necessary Knowledge And Skills For The Job.
State Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid And Current License To Practice Pharmacy In The State Of Georgia. This License Is Necessary To Dispense Medications And Provide Patient Care Within The State.
Prior Experience: Ideally, The Candidate Should Have Previous Experience Working As A Pharmacist In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Will Help Them Understand The Operations And Procedures At Piedmont Healthcare And Enable Them To Hit The Ground Running.
Knowledge Of Hospital Pharmacy Operations: A Staff Pharmacist - Prn At Piedmont Healthcare Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Hospital Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Compounding, Inventory Management, And Patient Counseling. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Providing Safe And Efficient Pharmaceutical Care To Patients.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Prn Staff Pharmacist, The Candidate Will Be Required To Work With A Diverse Team Of Healthcare Professionals, Including Physicians, Nurses, And Other Pharmacists.
