Staff Pharmacist - PRN

1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
2. Perform medication order reviews and drug utilization evaluations to ensure safe and effective medication use.
3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-specific medication therapy plans.
4. Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
5. Monitor patient medication adherence and provide counseling or interventions as needed.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication profiles and documentation in electronic health records.
7. Participate in pharmacy quality assurance programs and medication safety initiatives.
8. Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
9. Keep up-to-date with new medications, therapies, and treatment guidelines to provide the best possible care to patients.
10. Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes and provide exceptional patient-centered care.
11. Act as a resource for pharmacy technicians and other support staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and disposal of medications.
13. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, continuing education programs, and other professional development activities.
14. Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission and values, and consistently uphold ethical standards and professional behavior.
15. Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Director of Pharmacy or other leadership team members.
