- Dispense and administer medications to patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Verify and review prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Monitor and maintain patient medication profiles to identify potential drug interactions and contraindications.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- Provide patient counseling and education on medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of medications dispensed and patient consultations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance medication safety and patient outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date on current pharmaceutical trends and advancements in drug therapy.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and controlled substances.
- Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
- Respond to medication-related inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns from patients or healthcare providers.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to medication storage, handling, and disposal.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance patient satisfaction and quality of care.
- Act as a patient advocate and advocate for safe and effective medication use.
Current Pharmd Degree From An Accredited Pharmacy School
Active Pharmacist License In The State Of Georgia
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Licensed Pharmacist In A Healthcare Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmaceuticals And Drug Interactions
