We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse with expertise in Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC) to join our team as an RN - PICC. As an integral member of our healthcare team, the RN - PICC will play a crucial role in providing safe, efficient, and compassionate care to our patients.   1. Perform PICC line insertions and maintenance procedures according to established policies and procedures.
  2. Monitor and assess patient's condition, vital signs, and response to treatment during PICC line procedures and follow-up care.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with PICC lines.
  4. Educate patients and their families on the proper care and maintenance of PICC lines, potential complications, and signs of infection.
  5. Document accurate and timely information in patient's electronic medical records, including PICC line placement, care, and removal.
  6. Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients receiving PICC line care.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to PICC lines and provide suggestions for process improvement.
  9. Stay updated on the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines for PICC line care and share knowledge with the healthcare team.
  10. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice and maintain patient confidentiality.
  11. Attend mandatory trainings and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to PICC line care.
  12. Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families during PICC line procedures and at all times.
  13. Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
  14. Adhere to healthcare facility policies and procedures and promote a culture of safety and inclusivity.
  15. Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following established emergency protocols.
  16. Maintain accurate inventory of PICC line supplies and report any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate department.
  17. Mentor and train new nurses and other healthcare team members on proper PICC line care and procedures.
  18. Respond to patient and family concerns or complaints in a timely and appropriate manner.
  19. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for patients with PICC lines.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Georgia: This Is A Basic Requirement For Any Rn Position, Including The Picc Job At Piedmont Healthcare. A Valid Rn License Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Practice As A Registered Nurse.
