Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an Outpatient PACU RN. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center, providing post-anesthesia care to patients undergoing a variety of procedures.   1. Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the outpatient surgery center.
  2. Monitor patient's vital signs and ensure their comfort and safety during recovery.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  4. Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  5. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
  6. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  9. Ensure proper functioning of equipment and report any malfunctions.
  10. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  11. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on current practices and procedures.
  12. Demonstrate professionalism and compassion towards patients and their families.
  13. Collaborate with other nurses and healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
  14. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Act as a patient advocate and ensure their needs are met.
  16. Handle emergencies and provide immediate interventions as needed.
  17. Assist with the discharge process and ensure proper handoff to the next level of care.
  18. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  19. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, promoting a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  20. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certification

  • Current Rn License In The State Of Georgia

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pacu Or Outpatient Surgical Setting

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills To Provide High-Quality Patient Care In A Fast-Paced Environment.
