RN - Lactation Consultant

1. Provide lactation support and education to new mothers and their families.
2. Assess and evaluate breastfeeding techniques and offer guidance and support as needed.
3. Create individualized care plans for mothers experiencing breastfeeding challenges.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for new mothers and babies.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and progress.
6. Stay updated on current research and developments in lactation and breastfeeding.
7. Advocate for the benefits of breastfeeding and provide resources for new mothers to continue their breastfeeding journey.
8. Educate and train other healthcare professionals on lactation and breastfeeding techniques.
9. Provide emotional support and counseling to mothers experiencing breastfeeding difficulties.
10. Maintain a safe and clean environment for breastfeeding mothers and babies.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to lactation and breastfeeding support.
12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide exceptional care.
13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care.
14. Continuously strive to improve the lactation program and services offered to new mothers.
15. Attend ongoing education and training to maintain and improve lactation consultant skills and knowledge.
