- Obtain authorizations for procedures and treatments to ensure patients receive necessary care and services.
- Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to facilitate the authorization process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of authorizations and related documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure timely and appropriate care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on insurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in the authorization process.
- Advocate for patients and work to resolve any issues or challenges in the authorization process.
- Prioritize and manage a high volume of authorizations while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings to stay informed and updated on authorization processes and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage and maintain authorizations for multiple patients.
- Adhere to departmental and company policies and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve authorization processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist with other administrative tasks and duties as needed.
Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Georgia
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Authorization, Preferably In A Hospital Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Verification, Pre-Authorization, And Utilization Management Processes
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Insurance Companies
Ability To Work Prn (As Needed) And Potentially Cover Varying Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays
