  1. Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients: The primary responsibility of a Respiratory Therapist at Piedmont Healthcare is to provide top-notch respiratory care to patients. This includes conducting assessments, administering treatments, and monitoring patient progress.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare team: The Respiratory Therapist will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  3. Perform diagnostic tests: The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for conducting and interpreting various diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests, to assess patients' respiratory health.
  4. Administer treatments and therapies: The Respiratory Therapist will administer various respiratory treatments and therapies, such as oxygen therapy and nebulizer treatments, as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Educate patients and families: It is the responsibility of the Respiratory Therapist to educate patients and their families about their respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques to promote better health outcomes.
  6. Ensure equipment is properly maintained: The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for regularly maintaining and calibrating respiratory equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely.
  7. Document patient progress: Accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans is a crucial responsibility of the Respiratory Therapist.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols: The Respiratory Therapist must follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field

  • Current And Valid Respiratory Therapist License In The State Of Georgia

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility

  • Certification By The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc)

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Respiratory Therapy Procedures And Equipment, Including Mechanical Ventilation And Oxygen Therapy
