  1. Provide compassionate and skilled respiratory care to patients in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's standards and protocols.
  2. Perform a variety of respiratory therapy procedures, including administering oxygen, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, document findings, and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-management techniques.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Stay current on advancements in respiratory therapy and participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing new policies and procedures.
  10. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Comply with all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  12. Adhere to Piedmont Healthcare's code of conduct and ethical standards.
  13. Act as a role model for other healthcare professionals by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
  14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the respiratory care manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Credential From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).

  • Current State License To Practice As A Respiratory Therapist In Georgia.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Critical Care.

  • Advanced Knowledge And Skills In Mechanical Ventilation And Other Respiratory Therapy Modalities.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Educate Patients And Their Families On Respiratory Care.
