Registered Nurse, PACU

1. Provide high-quality patient care: This includes monitoring patients post-surgery, administering medications, and assessing patient needs.
2. Ensure a smooth transition from surgery to post-operative care: As a PACU nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring patients as they recover from anesthesia and preparing them for transfer to a post-operative care unit.
3. Utilize critical thinking skills: PACU nurses must be able to think quickly and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
4. Monitor and assess patient vital signs: It is the responsibility of the PACU nurse to regularly check and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
5. Educate patients and their families: PACU nurses must provide discharge instructions and educate patients and their families on post-operative care and medication management.
