
Registered Nurse, PACU

As a PACU nurse, you will play a crucial role in the recovery and transition of patients from surgery to post-operative care. - Provide high-quality patient care: This includes monitoring patients post-surgery, administering medications, and assessing patient needs.
- Ensure a smooth transition from surgery to post-operative care: As a PACU nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring patients as they recover from anesthesia and preparing them for transfer to a post-operative care unit.
- Utilize critical thinking skills: PACU nurses must be able to think quickly and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs: It is the responsibility of the PACU nurse to regularly check and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Educate patients and their families: PACU nurses must provide discharge instructions and educate patients and their families on post-operative care and medication management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals: PACU nurses work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.

Valid Rn License: Candidates Must Hold A Current And Active Registered Nurse License In The State Of Georgia.
Minimum Of 2 Years Pacu Experience: Piedmont Healthcare Requires Candidates To Have At Least Two Years Of Experience Working In A Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Setting.
Acls And Pals Certification: Candidates Must Hold Current Certifications In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals).
Bls Certification: Piedmont Healthcare Requires Candidates To Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: Successful Candidates Must Possess Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills To Provide Safe And Effective Care For Patients In The Pacu Setting.
