  1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in the outpatient surgery department.
  2. Collaborate with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals to ensure the success of the outpatient surgical services.
  3. Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  6. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and medication instructions.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  10. Act as a patient advocate and ensure patient satisfaction.
  11. Communicate effectively with physicians, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Stay current with industry developments and advancements in outpatient surgery practices.
  13. Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.
  14. Attend required trainings and meetings as directed by the organization.
  15. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare facilities to coordinate patient care.
  16. Follow all policies and procedures of Piedmont Healthcare.
  17. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, colleagues, and management.
  18. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
  19. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and standards.
  20. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn Licensure: Applicants For This Position Must Possess An Active And Unrestricted License To Practice As A Registered Nurse In The State Of Georgia.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Outpatient Surgery Experience: Piedmont Healthcare Is Seeking Candidates With A Strong Background In Outpatient Surgery, Including Experience With Pre-Operative, Intra-Operative, And Post-Operative Care.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: The Ideal Candidate Will Be Certified In Both Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Through The American Heart Association.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Surgical Procedures And Be Able To Anticipate The Needs Of The Surgeon During Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Member Of The Outpatient Surgery Team, The Registered Nurse Must Possess Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Provide Quality Patient Care.
