  1. Conduct initial assessments of patients to determine their specific infusion treatment needs and develop individualized care plans.
  2. Administer infusion treatments and monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects.
  3. Educate patients and their families about their infusion treatment and provide them with necessary resources and information.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and pharmacists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication administration records.
  6. Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team.
  7. Ensure proper handling and storage of medication and medical supplies, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control and safety standards.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
  10. Stay updated on current trends, techniques, and advancements in infusion treatments and incorporate them into practice.
  11. Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and standards of nursing practice.
  12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their infusion treatments.
  13. Attend mandatory trainings and meetings to maintain licensure and enhance professional development.
  14. Assist with the orientation and training of new staff members.
  15. Maintain a professional and positive attitude, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Georgia: A Registered Nurse At Piedmont Healthcare's Infusion Center Must Possess An Active And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Georgia. This Ensures That The Nurse Is Legally Authorized To Practice And Provide Care Within The State.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn): Most Employers, Including Piedmont Healthcare, Prefer Or Require Registered Nurses To Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing. A Bsn Provides A More Comprehensive Education And Prepares Nurses For A Wider Range Of Roles And Responsibilities.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Nursing Experience: To Be Considered For A Registered Nurse Position At The Infusion Center, Candidates Must Have At Least 2 Years Of Nursing Experience. This Demonstrates The Ability To Handle A High-Volume And Fast-Paced Environment, As Well As The Necessary Clinical Skills And Knowledge.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Required For All Rn Positions At Piedmont Healthcare. These Certifications Ensure That Nurses Are Equipped To Handle Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.

  • Experience In Infusion Therapy: Prior Experience In Infusion Therapy Is Highly Preferred For The Registered Nurse Position At The Infusion Center. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Types Of Infusions, Iv Insertion And Care, And Medication Administration Through Various Routes.
