As a Registered Cardiac Sonographer, you will use your expertise in ultrasound technology to produce high-quality images of the heart and surrounding structures, helping our physicians diagnose and treat a variety of cardiac conditions.   1. Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations on patients using state-of-the-art equipment.
  2. Produce high-quality images of the heart and surrounding structures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to assess and interpret ultrasound images.
  4. Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort, safety, and confidentiality during procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of ultrasound images and patient information.
  6. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures.
  7. Continuously update knowledge and skills in cardiac sonography to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of new cardiac ultrasound techniques and procedures.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide education and support regarding cardiac procedures.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
  11. Maintain equipment and supplies and report any malfunctions or shortages.
  12. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  13. Act as a patient advocate by identifying and reporting any concerns or issues related to patient care.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  15. Participate in on-call and weekend rotation schedules as needed.
  16. Maintain professional development and certification requirements.
  17. Provide guidance and support to other staff members and students as needed.
  18. Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
  19. Represent Piedmont Healthcare in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  20. Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field

  • Current Registration As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Cardiac Ultrasound Procedures

  • Knowledge Of Various Cardiac Ultrasound Equipment And Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Interacting With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
