- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures accurately and efficiently, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
- Assess patient conditions and medical histories to determine appropriate imaging techniques.
- Produce high-quality images that aid in patient diagnoses, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
- Review and analyze images to ensure clarity and accuracy, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to the attending physician.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other members of the diagnostic imaging team to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Keep accurate records of procedures performed and patient information.
- Stay current on advancements and developments in radiology technology and techniques.
- Provide excellent patient care and customer service, addressing any patient concerns or questions.
- Follow all facility policies and procedures, including infection control protocols.
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain required certifications and licenses.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with stocking and restocking supplies.
Certification In Radiologic Technology: Candidates For A Prn Radiologic Tech Position At Piedmont Healthcare Must Have Completed A Certified Program In Radiologic Technology And Hold A Valid Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
State Licensure: In Addition To Being Certified, Candidates Must Also Hold A Valid State License To Practice As A Radiologic Tech. This Ensures That They Are Legally Qualified To Perform Diagnostic Imaging Procedures In The State Of Georgia.
Experience In A Hospital Setting: Preferably, Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Radiologic Tech In A Hospital Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Their Familiarity With Hospital Protocols And Procedures.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Prn Radiologic Tech, It Is Important To Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Candidates Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Convey Information And Make Patients Feel Comfortable During Procedures.
Flexibility And Availability: As A Prn (As Needed) Position, Candidates Must Be Flexible And Available To Work On Short Notice, Including Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays. This Requires A High Level Of Adaptability And The Ability To Prioritize Tasks In A Dynamic Work Environment.
