  1. Perform radiation therapy procedures on patients according to established protocols and procedures.
  2. Monitor and assess patient's response to treatment, making adjustments as necessary to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  3. Administer radiation therapy accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed treatment records, charting patient progress and documenting any changes or side effects.
  5. Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  6. Educate and inform patients about their treatment options, potential side effects, and ways to manage any symptoms or discomfort.
  7. Monitor and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, following infection control and safety guidelines.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on advances in radiation therapy technology and techniques.
  11. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during treatment, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and address any psychosocial needs of patients.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times, adhering to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
  14. Attend departmental meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  15. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Piedmont Healthcare, representing the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Bls Certification From The American Heart Association.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Program.

  • Certification In Radiation Therapy From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In An Oncology Department.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment, With A Strong Attention To Detail And Patient Safety.
