  1. Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff within healthcare facilities.
  2. Respond to and resolve emergency situations in a calm and professional manner.
  3. Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential safety hazards and address any security concerns.
  4. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams to ensure prompt and effective response to incidents.
  5. Monitor and control access to restricted areas, including enforcing visitor and employee policies.
  6. Investigate and document any security incidents or breaches of safety protocols.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff to provide information and assistance as needed.
  8. Report any safety or security concerns to the appropriate department or supervisor.
  9. Maintain accurate and thorough records of daily activities and incidents.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  11. Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures at all times.
  12. Serve as a positive representative of the organization, promoting a culture of safety and security.
  13. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient public safety program.
  14. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of Piedmont Healthcare and act as a role model for others.

  • Minimum Education Requirement Of High School Diploma Or Ged: A Public Safety Officer At Piedmont Healthcare Should Have A Basic Level Of Education To Effectively Communicate And Handle Emergency Situations.

  • Cpr And First Aid Certification: The Candidate Should Be Trained In Basic Life-Saving Techniques To Provide Immediate Assistance During Medical Emergencies.

  • Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record: As The Job May Require Responding To Emergency Situations At Different Locations, A Public Safety Officer Should Have A Valid Driver's License And A Clean Driving Record.

  • Knowledge Of Emergency Protocols And Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Emergency Protocols And Procedures To Handle Situations Such As Fires, Natural Disasters, And Medical Emergencies.

  • Physical Fitness And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: The Job Of A Public Safety Officer May Require Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Lifting Heavy Objects, Running, And Climbing Stairs. Therefore, The Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Efficiently.
